Adding mazes to your island is a funny and great idea. Who wouldn’t want to stumble around a huge, intricate maze? Whether you get competitive with a maze-building contest or simply delight in the sight of one, it will definitely be something worth seeing. Also, you can find villagers stuck there—you’ll probably laugh your head off.

Create a fun, interactive and immersive maze for your friends and family. For this, you’ll need a series of cliffs built by one player. Another player must act as the architect: they must fill the space with cobblestone and build the cliffs to create your maze – but with four diamonds (one on each corner) and iron bars at the top to hold everyone in. The best part? You can even have water-filled moats!

Be sure to leave some gaps between paths. We don’t want any villagers getting caught overnight. Then, add some winding paths with a few flowers tossed in for good measure! The exit can go anywhere, as long as it doesn’t leave the villagers in limbo (how would they get home?

The idea is pretty easy to grasp. You start with some hedges, or walls of maze, and after you place trees, or dead ends, around the edges of your maze. Once you have your maze, you can add decorations like flowers and boulders to spruce up your island. You can even add a fountain to make the whole place look like an ancient Roman garden, like I did in the picture above!

All you need are some flowers and a bit of time. First, decide on a plan for the maze. I highly recommend mapping it out on paper first, but you can also draw it out in the dirt.

Create a maze for people to get lost in. Use stone and hedges to build your walls. Add some blue flowers for decoration, too — but remember that your maze needs more than just pretty aesthetics to be effective! Add a statue in the center of the maze, so that those who find way through the twists and turns (or just get lost) know they’ve finally reached the end.
